Being a Mama to a new little one can be so tough! Time seems to not exist for you, somehow a month goes by, when you could’ve sworn they were born yesterday. I’ve been there. So when on earth are you supposed to find time to find a photographer and schedule a Newborn session?!
Don’t worry, Mom, I’m here to help! Being pregnant can be so very stressful and time consuming. There’s a laundry list of things you “need to do” before your little love makes their debut. One thing that you don’t want to forget to do is schedule your Newborn Session. I know what you’re thinking, “why do I need to schedule them before baby even arrives?” I’m glad you asked!
Before you find yourself in the hustle and bustle of the newborn days, it’s important to have your Newborn Session already on your Photographer’s calendar. Here’s why, this is one thing that you can take off of your plate after baby arrives. Having a newborn is exhausting enough, and you have enough to worry about, you don’t need to be scouring the internet for the perfect Photographer.
As a Newborn Photographer, I want to be contacted sooner rather than later. For me at least, I want to have time to get to know you and to help you get the photography experience that you want. By booking before baby arrives there wont be as big of a rush, and it will be more likely that I have openings just for your sweet little one.
Your baby is only a Newborn for a very short time. I always tell my parents that we want to schedule your baby’s Newborn Session within the first 2 weeks of their life, ideally within the first 10 days. So, having your Newborn Session already on my calendar is a wonderful way that we can easily be able to get those precious photos within that limited time.
One other question I want to answer really quickly is, “how do you schedule a session before baby is even born?” The answer to this is that I put your Newborn Session on the month of your due date. Then after your baby arrives you simply let me know and we schedule date and time.
I hope you found this info helpful. If you are pregnant and are in the KC MO area, let’s chat about your Newborn Session!
